What is the scrap price today? It's one of the most common questions we get -- and with good reason. Here we give you an updated overview of the most important metals right now, based on Skrotify's price lists as of May 6, 2025.

Here are some of today's most requested:

  • Copper: SEK74.50/kg
  • Brass: 47.26 SEK/kg
  • Aluminum: 16.19 kr/kg
  • Stainless steel: 18.38 kr/kg
  • Iron: 2.52 SEK/kg
  • Zinc: 14.99 kr/kg
  • Tin: 161.15 SEK/kg
  • Lead: 9.30 SEK/kg

Please note that prices are for pure metals. Mixed scrap, alloys or contaminated material are evaluated individually. With an account in Skrotify Portal you can see prices of over 100 different scrap classes — updated daily.

The highest value at the moment

Among the special fractions stand out in particular:

  • Brazing (drill): 168.78 kr/kg
  • Brazing (cutting): 148.5 SEK/kg
  • Catalysts: 1500 SEK/kg (for certain metal content)
  • WITH Millberry: 80.47 kr/kg
  • CU Granules Class 1: 76.78 SEK/kg

Some cables and circuit boards also pay very well depending on the copper content.

Who gets the best prize?

Customers who sort correctly, have the right metal and use our portal for ongoing bookings often get the highest price. We reward:

  • Pure copper (e.g. Millberry or electrolyte)
  • Aluminum without color/varnish
  • Separated stainless and lead

The better the preliminary work — the higher the scrap value.
